I recently delivered some airplane seats to the Boeing in Everett Washington. Apparently they don't make those seats for the husky trucker.

Says he was hauling Sodium picramate, & its used in hair coloring, I suppose there will be lots of people not getting their hair colored!
Many years ago I was coming from Memphis towards Little Rock in a truck & head on my CB Radio about a very bad wreck with traffic back up for many miles. I dropped down onto US 70 & took the old scenic route, it was enjoyable & I missed all of the setting & waiting.
Back in the 60's I was in the Air Force Stationed at Blytheville AFB, drove the old road many times, they had some real good eating places. one was called Jim's Fine Food, I think. -
man, I was there. coming thru Memphis, there was a neon sign saying "I-40 WB closed at 258"......so I thought, I'll jump off at the 270. And I did. So, I'm breezing down 70, watching all the DA's who don't understand what "closed at the 258" means, thinking I was the smartest guy in the group (for those who don't know, the difference between 70 and 40 is about 50 yards). Thats when it stopped. 1.5 hours to go 10 miles....it was awful.
Met up with another trucker at the new Pilot in Arkadelphia (very nice, btw), and he said that the FedEx guy was actually eastbound, went thru the median, and wound up in the westbound lane.
I can recommend the new Pilot in Arkadelphia, (funky parking scheme, but nice when you finally land).....bad day for FedEx though -
Sorry, but it wasn't awful for me, yet of course I knew the old road, been up & down it many times, & this was in the 70's.
I once did the same thing on I-30, got off at Arkadelphia, got back in not to far north of Arkadelphia, saved me from a bunch of setting time.
