Well finally stopped and talked to one of the work crews putting in a new sensor on I-5 in Oregon and all he told me that it was part of a new nation wide tracking system!!!
i guess it all makes sense they don't have enough manpower to keep the coops open 24-7-365 so a new automated system make sense!!!
i stumbled onto it while going through the Federal Motor Carrier web site
once it is installed and up and running you wont be able to "cheat" on your log book or try to run a little ahead of schedule!!! this was bound to come sooner or later and they are trying hard to keep a lid on it
now we have the H.O.S. being redone and hey look the Mexicans are here to maybe to fill the gap if we all get together and go on strike????
or hang up are trucks and pick up a shovle to make a living
hey maybe i am wrong but when i look at what is going on and if i ran a big business and wanted more profit what would i do how much (the driver) do we get of that 9 trillion dollars a year do we get that we haul compaired to the companies we work for with all them new trucks???? it is all about more dollars boys and girls!!!! we have put in all these hours to make sure a load is not late to end up getting a stick up the butt for all we have done!!!!!!!!!!
