So, all of the people saying he was speeding and such, need to read this. Especially the first line.

A tractor-trailer already was on fire as it came across a median and crashed into a tour bus, killing 10 people, according to a couple whose car was sideswiped by the big rig.

    true story

driving thru PA on 80 late night

i got this bad habit of checking my mirrors and looking at my tandems using headlights behind me

i see little puffs of smoke, i get on the cb and ask the driver behind me whats goin on

he says its smoking and red

i pull over and in the pitch black, the greased hub is cherry red and is starting to flame

i get the fire extinguisher, it puffs out 3 seconds of smoke

i then get my walmart waters, and i put it out

cb and my water saved that load

seems like the greaed hub lacked enough grease

lesson learned: always have your cb on, always have lots of water, and get a big fire ext and change it every year, no matter what

Ok so I'll be the first to mention it.......If it was on fire before impact could it be the DPF that caught on fire???????They've been known to do that....I guess if that's the case the EPA would consider that "collateral damage"? We're gonna save the planet one DPF, DEF, EGR etc. etc.... at a time..

"It was in flames as it came through the median. ...It wasn't like the whole thing was engulfed, it was coming up wrapping around him."

It could have brakes on fire, electrical in nature, an oil or fuel leak that ignited, trash/debris that blew up and caught in the exhaust and ignited, a blown/flat inside tire that overheated.... Why would anyone start blaming the EPA for this tragedy?

Wow, many fellow truck drivers jumps on the truck driver blaming him before they have any info, now its been said by the driver of the car that it side swiped before hitting the bus that flames were coming out from under the cab of the truck.

Truck drivers are like 4 wheeler drivers now, the 1st thing they do is blame the truck driver, I guess most of us hates our own.

Couple hit by tractor-trailor says truck was on fire before deadly bus crash

I said from page 1 to not be so quick to blame a man that can't speak his truth. But the bashing has gone on.

I came down the I-5 yesterday in Northern California with my cruise control set at 57 mph and FedEx drivers are blowing past me probably doing 10 over. I like saving money on fuel but I guess when your a company driver you do not care about minor things like that.
