I remember this. Not one witness could correctly identify the perp. Wow.. forgotten about this.

A new headline on MSN.com regarding the Fedex/bus crash ...
[h=1]Trucker in fiery California crash worked long shift: early report[/h]
If this is what a reporter at MSNBC thinks is a "long shift" and this idea gets traction, we can all expect to see our HOS daily driving and on-duty limits get reduced considerablyShaggy, double yellow, blairandgretchen and 2 others Thank this. -
I personally saw the mangled bus wreck the next morning, I had stayed the night in Corning at the rolling hills casino, left morning after and drove on the SB side and saw the whole media farm getting ready and the mangled remains of the fedex trailer and bus, just awful. Miracle anyone made it out.
I hate media stories like that. 7 hours is a short day for me, I often work 10 lines 3 and 4 combined although I try to keep under 8 and a half so I don't have to take restarts -

I'll take the word of a subject matter expert and evidence. IF you were in a criminal case and someone accused you of something, just because there is a witness does it make it true? Nope. People lie and make stuff up, or imagine things. The NTSB has tools and vast experience, knowledge and know how that you clearly know nothing about. I'd hate to see you on a jury trial.
The NTSB will investigate and not make assumptions. That is the purpose of the investigation. Fake statement I just randomly made up, "The truck driver was doing 80 MPH at least!" The truck was only governed at 64 MPH, GPS data supports this. "I'll believe the witness though over the NTSB." Granted, seeing fires is a lot difference the accusing someone of doing 80 MPH, with fire, there is visual evidence. With speed, it's a visual guess. But, I'll stand by the NTSB.Last edited: Apr 28, 2014

The loaded flat bed just shuts it down in the left lane to get a view....?
Smart thinking on that drivers part, hope everyone else behind him was paying attention to a stopped semi in the left lane.
Another accident just waiting to happen, the Sicorn got through with a little maneuvering...Last edited by a moderator: May 9, 2015
