Fedex Freight, I recommend them even if you are a newer driver.

Yeah especially the terminal i work in.. Very strict but if you do your job you should be fine. I love the benefits also. I started a week before christmas and still got paid for Christmas eve and Christmas day.

I'm curious... How do you get on with FedEx freight? I've looked online everything is always FedEx Express or something to do with corporate other than CDL.

Honestly look for the Fedex freight around closest to you and go in person and ask for the manager.. That’s what i did. Applied and got called for a interview 2-3 days later.

Update:: So after my first week of training and being in the drivers development program i want to say that i feel very confident in my driving. My backing has improved. No more oversteering which i use to have a problem with. Also my trainer has been making up maneuvers for me as well. So idk if anybody has tried or done this particular maneuver but He came up with a “ S “ maneuver. So he puts about 4 cones straight. Maybe like 50-75 feet between each cone ( or maybe more im not too sure ) and has me hook up to a pup and go around the maneuver backwards. Obviously i started doing this going front and what you want to do is go forward, turn when your in the middle and get the rear tire as close as you can to the cone that you previously pass without touching it which i did repetitively. Going backwards wasn’t so easy but i did it and i felt like i have improved a lot. I have another week of yard maneuvers which will help me out even more. On my 3rd week ill start taking out a 45-48 footer and practice my backing with that. I always felt like driving in a pup was more difficult for me than in a van. Just because a pup reacts quicker. But so far the training has been pretty good and I’m happy that they put me through this program because i feel like after i complete it, i will be a way better driver.
    Happy trucking!!!

Good to read that you're progressing and that they're giving you useful practical advice and exercises. Hope the current LTL meltdown doesn't affect your barn.
