Fedex Freight, I recommend them even if you are a newer driver.

Usually means a split shift. Come in and work 4AM, to say 8AM. Go home, and come back maybe 2 to 6 or similar.

That's awesome! I'm bringing my guitar on the road here soon. A set of drums - that's a whole notha level!

To me what’s important is the people running the terminal,if they don’t have their crap together then the whole place is going to suffer. I was hired on at FedEx freight several years ago and while I was going through the process after my road test and paperwork I saw the manager and others yelling at the drivers and not one person there looked happy to be there, and when I would meet a FedEx driver out at a stop they were constantly on the brick,I don’t think the driver looked up for more than a second because that handheld was ringing or beeping every other second. And he wasn’t a happy camper himself. So I turned the offer down. I don’t work for people who think they can yell at me for any reason. I will walk off and not be back!

See this is what I'm concerned about. I am supposed to start fxf soon as a road driver, I have my start date in 2 weeks. I just don't want to quit my current job and start here and then them come to me a month later saying we can't verify your experience or something, and then I'm out a job. How likely is it that they have not completed my.background/ employment verification before my start date?

If you were honest on your application why would you be worrying about your background information?I worked for Fed ex freight a lot of years ago actually when they bought American freightways. I personally didn’t like working for them even back then they were a little to much like the military with their uniform checks they would check to see if you had a white t shirt and the color of your socks. But that was me I never really liked wearing uniforms obviously a lot of guys and gals don’t mind.. The pay and benefits were ok .

If there’s nothing on your end to be concerned about you should be all good. Oh and no one has ever did a uniform check in the 8 years I’ve been at FXF. Congrats on the job!

That's crazy I did not know Fedex does that lol! But no the only thing I'm worried about is I do have 5+ years of cdl experience but the job I got said I needed 1 year experience within the last 3 years. I told this to my hiring manager and she said it should be fine. I just don't want this coming back on me months down the road
