Fedex Freight, I recommend them even if you are a newer driver.

Well so far that i know of theres an employee that works with us that has a cdl permit and fedex freight is paying for him to get his license. Just gotta put the word in if you want in.

It's called PTDI. Professional truck driver institue. If you go on their website you will see what schools are approved by them. As far as I know Fedex Freight doesnt really care which school you went to get your cdl. If you want to apply for city driver or road driver position you need at least 1 year of recent driving experience.

For driver apprentice you need permit with all endorsements or cdl. If you only have a permit, they will teach everything that you need to know and when you're ready you will take your road test.

I know that Old Dominion will waive 1 year experience if you went to PTDI cdl school.

If you can try and start your LTL career at Old Dominion. Just my .25 cents

Oh well would you look at that.. Was stuck doing splits for about a month and already have the shift i asked for. Early mornings ( 4am ) to 1:30pm. Obviously till my turn is up for the driver apprentice program. Has anybody been through this program btw? If so how long does it take to complete? I hear some guys take up to 3 weeks to be finished?
