I'm an OD driver and we're allowed to run CB's. I'm amazed sometimes at the misinformation I read in the blogs.

All the guys at ODFL seem happy with their job. P&D driver is making about $27/hour but no OT until they hit 60. Linehaul is also doing well from what I heard . It's a conpany I am interested in when I move to SC in the next few weeks .

Our city rate at OD is $29.73 in the midwest region and .6708cpm.

Wow. Very nice. All LTL companies are always hiring in my area except OD. I check online for open positions at least twice a week. I want to work for them one day.

Your choices are not likely just limited to FXF or SAIA. LTLs usually huddle up in the same area with terminal locations. Don't forget about Estes, Old Dominion, ABF, YRC, UPSF and others. Personally, I'd look at Old Dominion, Estes, or FXF. I'd choose SAIA before ABF or YRC.

And another thing, I wouldn't base my decision on whether they have forward-facing cameras or not. Eventually, we might all be on candid camera....
