    I don’t know if FXG uses plywood dunnage in their loads like we do, but I’ve taken to laying a piece of plywood on my fifth wheel after I park when there’s winter weather on the way. It help minimize hookup difficulties in those conditions.

    Living in Fl this may not help you much, but just another tip I thought I’d share.

    It does help thank you. This past week in western Tennessee was horrendous. I had to build one set in the ice and snow. Wasn’t a fun experience. Ordered these and were waiting for me when I got home last night.

    Got home last night. Due to timing constraints I’ll be leaving on Wednesday morning. Next hometime in February is starting on the 10th for 7 days. It’s my birthday on the 13th, Valentines Day on the 14th and our 25th wedding anniversary also on the 14th. Wife asked me very nicely to be home for the anniversary. Which really means if I’m not, she’ll divorce me. Good thing about this job, it’s much easier to plan hometime and make it compared to the last place. Though I’ll admit, I never had an issue staying home once I got there.

    Spending the night tonight in the Memphis hub. Will be dispatched in the morning. 3 weeks in this new job and one thing is for certain, I’m pretty sure I’m going to like this as an end of career choice.

    I watched one our drivers hook a set of triples by backing his set with the jiff under the rear. I'm talking he drove up turned and got straight then proceeded to back the whole set and jiff under the third trailer. I was blown away. I've seen plenty of guys back their sets into docks but never hooking triples. I can back my lead and jiff with no problem but a set is quite an accomplishment.

    Did 2 round trips to Little Rock yesterday. Got back here to Memphis last night about 9pm. Off today. Football watching for today is the most work I’ll be doing. Correction, I put my new IFTA stickers on my truck. Time for lunch.

    Nice day off yesterday. Got a good nights sleep then the phone went off at 0430. Had to hook a loaded overflow trailer and run it to Olive Branch. Now waiting on dispatch.
