FedEx Ground Linehaul with JohnBoy

Will be heading back to work tomorrow. My truck is not ready, and won’t be for a while. The estimate now is up to $19K. Apparently there’s other damage that wasn’t seen until they started taking it apart. So for the time being, I’ll be in a loaner truck. The problem is, all our trucks are filled so there isn’t an available truck. I offered to take another week off, but was told they have a plan in place. So, I’ll be in Humboldt tomorrow night.

Back at it. Got in at 0130 because Delta couldn’t run an airline correctly from their hub in Atlanta. Was suppose to be in at 8pm. Grabbed an Uber and went to the Olive Branch hub to meet Jerry who was waiting for me. Rode back to Humboldt as a passenger. Found out yesterday that my truck is going to be laid up for a month. Was put into a ‘24 Volvo that was kept meticulously clean. This morning I drove down to the shop and emptied out the KW then spent all morning setting up house. Went and got a truck wash, then spent the rest of the day relaxing. I have one round trip to Olive Branch tonight, then starting tomorrow night I have double Memphis runs all week.
