Team that used to drive the truck we were driving (fed ex contractor) hit a cow while off route on some back road. They got fired for that.
I found this out from another team. On April 1st, I sent a picture of a dead cow to our contractor, told him that we had hit it. He totally bought it, I have our conversation saved.

Getting ready to head home tomorrow for vacation. We get 2 paid weeks after 6 months, then your next vacation eligibility is a year from the date you take your first week. So, my next vacation date will be October 21, 2025 for 2 weeks. Mind you, I’m not planning on being here then. Our realtor up in Alabama asked when I plan on retiring, told her the day we have an executed contract on our home in South Florida will be my official retirement date. House will be on the market right after Thanksgiving, should be under contract in December and closed in January. Hopefully the new home will be closing the same time, if not, we’ll make other arrangements.
