@JohnBoy i have a coworker who, probably close to 2 years ago now was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer and has since been receiving intense treatment from Mayo in jax, he’s 72 and still drives when he feels like it, doctors told him if he feels up to it go for it, I say this to say Mayo is a miracle clinic, I thought for sure I would’ve had to say goodbye to my friend many months ago, not only is that not the case, he’s actually returning to his old self again. Best of luck on your journey.

JB,
I have always enjoyed reading your posts as you are so positive and to the point in your responses. Your positive attitude in the approach of your recent "glitch" is as it should be. Research, plan, attack, recovery and future approach to life.
It is true that the previous 6 decades or thereabouts of a person's life is spent working and hopefully at a good job but the remaining time left in one's lifetime is usually limited. If you are fortunate to have a great spouse then it is a blessing to be able to spend quality time with them and just do want you want, when you want If it is to be.
Sorry for the long post but you are an inspiration to us all and deserving of all the good things that are to come your way. I wish you a continued successful recovery and my thoughts and prayers to you and Mrs. JB.Friend, Knucklehead, Lonesome and 1 other person Thank this. -
Out of respect to my contractor, and the best job I’ve had in trucking, if I do decide to hang up the keys, I will talk with him and give him a little of my expertise until he gets a replacement. If that happens, then I’ll work until the end of the year. As always, these thoughts are open to change, the biggest difference is that I've been discussing this with my wife since that day 8 months ago when I got the phone call that I had a brain tumor. That cold unassuming phone call back in January changed my life. They hung up, and I was sitting on the next off ramp in shock. I’ll never want to experience that ever again. One final thing, though I have good days and bad days as my recovery goes on, I still have a boatload of living to do.MACK E-6, wulfman75, navypoppop and 7 others Thank this. -
