    Does anyone know who runs Fedex Ground out of Memphis? My wifes grandfather, which I havent personally spoken with yet because I am in Iraq, has been working for them for 20+ yrs. He says that with my prior driving experience and mechanical experience that he can get me on with them with no problem. I am just curious because I always thought that he drove directly for Fedex, but reading on here it looks like everything is contracted out. Thanks for the help.

    Fed-ex ground is all o/o or small fleet trucks, They own the trailers and no trucks. Fed-ex freight has there own trucks. Ground is almost all team driven trucks, they only observe a couple of holidays and if you don't have a dedicated run you will prolly sit alot or go to the worst places they go. IMO they don't get you enough miles for the time you spend on the road, teams average like 5600 miles and solo is about 2600 miles
