Cool35, you'll find from state to state th Workmans comp varys, however you can obtain Occupational Accidental Insurance which will be alot cheaper. Normally runs around 40/wk compared to 95/wk for workmans comp. You still will have to pay unemployment tax, regaurdless. Actually based on what I'm seeing above, you will have to estimate your yearly earnings and file quarterly returns. Some states penalize, like NY, with interest and penalties if you don't. Talk to an accountant. Even paying a nominal fee and wlk into a H and R Block office and get a true understanding of what you are about to get involved in, you'll get a peace of mind this way.
