I have never seen a Fedex ground without doubles. Maybe once in a blue moon they will have just one pup. A friend of mine was leased to them years (6+) ago and he didn't like it. He said that if ya had a break down that you pretty much were s.o.l. and Fedex would fine the heck out of ya. Don't know if its true or not, just hear say from a man that messed me over, so take it for what its worth.

I see them pulling 53's on occasion. From what I understand, you cannot just "lease" onto them. You have to bid on a run, and buy it. I don't know of many single truck operations doing it. Alot of them are multi-truck fleets.

you can just lease on with them but you need seniority to get the dedicated runs. They call it running wild, you go in and see what they got going where ever and you can take what ever you want but it is first in and first out so if you pick a place where there is 20 trucks just like you already sitting you are going to be sitting for a while or deadheading out to another terminal if they have something. They are busy right now or were as of two weeks ago. Plus 95% of there work is team and they base there dedicated routes off of how much the lazy drivers are willing to work, 2500 miles solo avg. and 5000-5500 team
