I wouldn't disclose anything that doesn't show up on your DAC report. Cause it doesn't exist. ???????????

The key, I believe is in the type of questions you are asked. Some applications asked merely have you ever been convicted of a crime. However, more and more applications are also asking, "have you ever had adjudication withheld.....". The truthful answer to that is yes (at least in Florida). Plus if you had two such incidences you cannot have any portion of your record sealed. It is worth paying an attorney to find out how to handle this issue since your future employment could potentially rest on how you answer the questions.

"...if you had two such incidences you cannot have any portion of your record sealed."

I've HEARD that one must file a petition to get the record of a single offense sealed. To get a record sealed, one must convince the court that his job prospects are being harmed more by having a criminal record that is easily discovered than what society will be (supposedly) harmed by the record being sealed. It's understandable this is so, as punishment for minor crimes takes this form over offenders being carted off to jail. If requiring records to be sealed in this fashion is tough to do, maybe this keeps crime rates lower. Who knows.

I've always assumed that one would have to jump through the same hoop to expunge two offenses as well.

I've also heard whispers that it costs big money to have records expunged. I'm talking ten THOUSAND or even more here. I wonder if this is true. I wouldn't be surprised if it is, especially in a state like Florida or even California. States SHOULD do this, as it would help cut taxes, just as places like the Truckee scalehouse help lower taxes for California residents. When the DOT flunkie tells you "Your brake shoes are 1/32 of an inch too thin on one wheel. That'll be 600 dollars please," it lowers Californians' taxes by 600 bones. Arnie loves thin break linings.
