No contest is almost like a guilty plea . O well i would of went to trial .. Nether less most company's require 23 years old minimum in state or not .. 28 years in the biz never saw anyone under 21 in big truck TT ..straight truck yes .. imo you are going to need at least 5 to 10 years and NO trouble for this to b miner .. or not haunt you Good Luck .. my advice sell realestate they make good $$$ and it is something you can do part time and continue to work the job you have

Hey lunchbox, if your talking about load 1 out of michigan they will take guys with drug charges over 10 yrs old.. i have a cousin who works there and he had 3 different drug convictions back when he was a teenager, hes 40 something now. Hes been there for a few years.

i will tell you like i tell all ex felons
start your own business, whether selling lemonade or espionage
you are going to frustrate yourself going door to door asking people to give you a better chance, starting your own business will take less effort and will be less frustrating
even if you have your sister start the business and she hires you as an employee
nothing is going to be more frustrating than going door to door and getting those doors slammed in your face -
A felony conviction is pretty much a career ender for truck driving and many other fields. You should wait until 3-5 years after your probation ends before you look into a job driving a truck.

They did, but I didn't see any rule violations.

When it comes to the nature of the OP's conviction, it ranks up there with politics - it all boils down to different opinions. Hopefully the OP got some decent advice on how to proceed further with his career.Ghost Ryder Thanks this.

I agree. Problem is most drivers get to stay in there state after OTR which u must b 21 to get that exp. u need in order to do intrastate.
