I just read the sticky regarding driving convictions, however I am wondering about felony dui. I have had 3 dui's, which makes it a felony, as well as a felony theft charge. They are all pretty old charges..about 7 years or so. What do you think the chances of me getting hired are? I dont want to go through everything to only not be hired.

It will be a difficult road. A lot of companies wont hire with more than 1 DUI and a few 2 Lifetime. 3 may be possible but it will take some time and most likely a pretty hard up company

Your chances are not good. None of the big bottom feeders will touch you(not that I'd suggest you go with one of them anyway).

Even the smaller mom and pop companies are getting told who they can and cannot hire via their insurance company. Here is the problem, even if they would really want to hire you, their insurance would say no way... even threaten to drop them if they did hire you. It's just the way it is....

With all this said, it's not impossible that you may get hired... I'd look into construction companies, dump truck, belly dump etc etc.... good luck.

The OP would be well advised to find someone who would hire him before shelling out the money for CDL school. 4 felonys including theft? I'd say its doubtful, unless your brother-in-law is doing the hiring.

I know this isn't the point of the thread... But for anybody that has drove under the influence of anything is inconsiderate, unsafe, and just plain stupid. Get caught three times and probably have done it more then a dozen times makes you an arrogant @$*^$%#@.

Sorry, but I hope you never get behind the wheel of something weighing 80k+ lbs.
