felony question

    i was wondering is there any company/training academy that will hire with a four year old dismissed felony case?

    most of them will. it is mainly your DMV record (accidents and tickets) they look at.

    i was turned down by schneider because of that but the recruiter told me that he going to keep my file on record..i was just look to find another training academy to go with if i can

    wonder why - dismissed = "no conviction". Ergo, it should have no bearing on your hireability.

    If it was dismissed then you don`t have a felony.Nothing should be on your record unless you were convicted I would think.

    Yeah you would think so. I checked on my record as I have a couple misdemeanor convictions from about 15 years ago. Strange thing I thought is that the records reflected all the charges that were dropped as well. One being a felony.

    Agreed, if you have a case dismissed, their should be no question about it.
    An employer can not hold that against you.

    Further thought and qustion though.

    was the felony one of the charges dropped, or was the entire case dismissed. (just for clarity)?

    the bad part is the courts may have dismissed it but your recored will always show that you were arristed for a felony unless you get it expunged thats the bad part that they can see you were arristed for it even though you were not convicted of it
