Female wanting to team with husband, both new to trucking.

We got the informal "prehire" from Swift today. The wife and I are getting excited, but with Swift we'll be with our seperate trainers for 6 weeks minimum. I don't know if she can get along with anyone for six weeks, 24-7....

Yeah, theres certainly a bunch of that on here but sometimes I beg to differ on most of it. I've yet to hear a reasonable claim that made sense. But good luck wherever you venture to.

Even if the trainer you get will allow both of you to be on the same truck together? Hmmm.

 

And what "pain" is that, that you speak of??? It all depends on the students and the trainer. With us, our trainer very rarely drove. He would either be in the jump seat whenever one of us drove, or he would take a nap while both of us would be in the front. If we had to sit somewhere for a while, my wife and i would be on the bottom bunk, and he would be on the top. No biggie.

Now, I can understand takin a non-married/non-dating couple could be more of a pain because when you take tweo people that are either married or dating, thats two people to a bed.

Our trainer wasnt in pain.

As a matter of fact, we were his best students that he got along with great.
