Fender repair on '05 W900

    so if it is fiber glass it is easy to fix with epoxy, but first I'd enforce all with thin steel and riviets. we use to fix this kind of parts every day,

    If that's what these KW hoods are it's considerably lighter than the fiberglass ones we have. It's also surprisingly flexible which is why the damage to mine was as light as it was. When the piece of tire came loose I thought the hood was coming off. Was surprised when that was all that was done to it.

    Can you tell any difference in weight when you tip your hood compared to the fiberglass ones?

    The plastic hood is called Metton. It's an opption on the W9. I dont know if it is lighter or heavier but the hood springs are different. Brown for the metton white for fiberglass. The problem with the metton is that it cracks mine is cracking at the hood latch. I am thinking riveting a ss plate under the latch.
