I drive for FFE I am sorry that your going through that. I have a friend that also drives here and he is out of NJ. He got a trainer in NJ really fast. What kind of training you doing? OTR? LTL? Local? If your training for over the road they would not send you to Chicago you would come to Lancaster. And I have never heard of this Chicago thing and I am in really good with the training department the only training we would do if it was a local job out of Chicago.
-
And they would never put you with someone that can't train you. Don't know how true this Thread is.

do they keep drivers out 2 weeks or 3 weeks, sence its reefer i also take its deliverys are usually between 10pm and 4am like all reefer loads, was like that at transam back in the 90s, question, are less then truckload (multiple stops) better than full truckload meaning your in and out faster at the receiver, here in pittsburgh,pa thinking of getting back into it

Your status shows "student". Can you clarify your situation?
Are you saying that FFE has a second academy?
Or do you mean that you were a student, at someone else's school, you have now graduated from that school and are supposed to go out OTR with a trainer from FFE?
If your situation is the latter, then you should be getting training pay. I would think that is preferable to sitting at home doing nothing and getting nothing. You said training is a new thing in Chicago. But one, of FFE's 11, service centers is located in Chicago. I find it hard to believe that they just now started having OTR trainers that live, and work out of the Chicago area. Then you said you are not with a trainer, just with someone who is training you. I did not quite understand that? Sorry but I must be confused?!?! -
Like I said I don't think this thread is true. If he is a student he would have to have come to the Lancaster TX yard to get with his trainer. I drive for FFE and this is totally not true statements this gentleman is making. If he was a student they would not just sit him with any driver that is not qualified to train. Plus there is no training done in Chicago unless you go through there with a qualified trainer.
fancypants Thanks this. -
You can stay out as long as you want. If your only going to stay out 2 to 3 weeks with any company your not going to make any mile or money. I try to stay out 4 to 5. Not all refer loads are between 10pm and 4am I know alot of them are but not all. The LTL drivers work alot harder and its not just a in and out thing.

Notice the original poster to this thread has not been back on to debate his original poster. So this thread is untrue. The poster of this goes on all threads and try's to down grade the companies that the threads are about.

Come on........you started this with, what seems to be, an unsupportable allegation. Then you will not respond. Do you want to admit this was BS? Or, are you just going to hide?THE PLAYMAKER Thanks this.
