Ok guys I need some advice. I'm starting my driver training on August 1st and my choices is between either ffe or celadon. Ffe pays 32 cents per mile to start as to where celadon pays 27 cents per mile. Here is the problem, I'm prescribed adderall and ffe will not allow me to drove for them of I'm taking it and celadon has no problem with it. I was considering just not taking it starting a few weeks before I went to ffe so I pass their urine test and once I'm in my own truck by myself start taking it again. Can I get in trouble (other than fired) by doing this? Or should I just settle for 5 cents less per mile and go with celadon where I can freely take my medication?
Ffe vs Celadon (medication question)

When you get to either company you'll get a new physical. You have to put what medications you are taking on that physical.
If you don't put adderall on your physical then pee hot in 3 months for a random pee test you'll be fired and no one will hire you.
I vote for none of the above and find better companies.travelfraggle and lee1754 Thank this. -
Well I would talk to your doctor first before you quit taking it.
I don't know what Adderall is for ( none of my business anyway). I take Zoloft, got a couple of flat out no's from couple companies. Found other companies that said no problem or just wanted statement from doc saying it won't affect my driving. Look at other companies too. You might find more companies to choose from. Good luck whatever you decide.lee1754 Thanks this. -
It will show on any random urine. If you stop then totally stop, otherwise if you get a random or are in a very small collision such as you door swinging open hitting another trailer you will be tested. Once you test positive it goes on you DAC and you will pretty much be losing any chance on driving a truck for a long, long time as it is on the list of banned medications (I believe).

Well that's the problem. My medication isn't banned by the dot only by this specific company

but it will def. show positive on a urine so a failure would still go on your DAC as so and still the same problem or having a failed test on your screen.

but you don't want to face a failure vs. a test failure along with a failure to disclose.
