S Stone Mountain Lithonia Road above Atlanta is where they have a yard.

Been in there years ago when running for them prior to 9-11 first as a solo and later as trainer/Married team.

The information I have is obsolete other than the Atlanta yard. You should be able to learn everything you want to learn there.

They have a terminal in Lithuania. They started me at 0.40 cpm after I graduated their school.

The best money there is running teams. The solo linehaul guys I talked to said they were bringing in about 600-800 a week.

I brought in average 1500 teaming my first year. In my second year now and it's a little better. Maybe 1700 if I had to guess.

My uncle is now driving regional solo for them and he said hes doing pretty good. They assume its going to take you a lot longer than it should to get something done. So get your work done fast and call your dispatcher asap to get something else lined up... You will probably do pretty good. A lot of guys fiddledick around, squander hours and just dont get much done, then wonder why they have small checks.

Linehaul guys typically take 6 days off every six weeks.
Regional guys go home Friday and come back Sunday night.
Plasma guys get a week off once a month and are paid their home time too. It's the hardest most demanding division for both labor, and driving and teaming is required.

Plasma has a shuttle group thats solo and its pretty good, but you get on a waiting list and who knows when it's your turn. All they do is drive from Dallas to Indianapolis and back again, for the most part.

I didn't ask him, he said he was making close to what I'm making. But I am not sure about that. Lol.

You dont have to take 6 days off. You can tell them you want to stay out and they will be happy to hear that and find something for you to haul. If you are regional and you dont want to go home for the weekend they can probably get you a linehaul load going down to Orlando if you got the hours.

In Linehaul you dont go home until you ask. You could just live and drive 24/7 if you wanted. Its just that 6 weeks on 6 days off seems to be what most of those guys stick too. But its not a requirement.

Thats how you make money--ask for work. Theres always plenty of it available.

One thing to keep in mind with linehaul is they have other divisions pitching in to help. Those terminals are busy places and they dish out loads by truck priority.

Training trucks and plasma trucks have priority.
    Then linehaul team trucks.
Then the solo guys after that.

So solo linehaul is easy and fun but you might end up sitting waiting for a load because as a solo driver you gotta wait behind the team trucks. That what I keep hearing from drivers.

If you want money but dont want to team Id ask for regional because you will probably do some linehaul to FL but also you will be picking up from other grocery distributions. I usually only wait 1-3 hours to be loaded at those places. One time took 6 hours to get 1 single pallet, but I am pretty sure that was because it was my week just before home time and my partner kept going inside and bugging them. If you do that they might keep moving you to the bottom of their list.
