To be fair, grass fires start practically every day from vehicles parking on dry, high grass. Exhaust systems are hot enough to ignite many combustible sources just after normal driving conditions on a hot day
IMO, The cop had no business running that fast in traffic to catch a 20-over target unless I'm missing something in the story. I wonder was there a failure to stop and an active pursuit or was he just in a real hurry to catch up to him before too much time elapsed and this was a very short burst of speed?
I just don't see a Toyota Rav 4 being capable of generating such speed requirements. So, maybe he was clocked at 90, if the light display didn't get him to slow/stop, and the traffic was an issue, and you gotta run 130+ mph to get within range, you're doing something wrong. -
Nice little lasso. The Rav4 is not a high speed vehicle by any means.
I got worried a little bit when Mr Bear got onto the strips at the right shoulder at 132. A case of the wriggles needing to be calmed down before increasing from there. -
