And...more often than not after the 3rd and final pick-since almost always there is no scale onsite- one (me) discovers while scaling at nearest T.S. the load is over gross weight..

Trucking is recession proof, from the drivers standpoint. Lay me off, downsize, bankrupt/close the doors & that's OK, I'll be back at work within 24 hours.

 

A) easy access to hamburgers and chicken

B) all the #### Subway's

 

... I have come to hate my job so much I can completely foget about it when I go home ..., ... smart ### dispatchers who can't find the front of the truck with a map and seeing eye dog, DOT cops, shippers/consignees who demand on time arrival but can't load/unload on time, sleeping in the truck, doing so much work for no pay, ...

 

In my BEST "Predator" voice..'Anytime'.. Those movies from the "80's"- Still Cool..

 

Best part about driving is being able to help people in their time of need. I dontt really actively search it out but if you pay enough attention and keep an open heart and open mind you can wind up changing someones day or even life with a single display of kindness. The bad...all the liars cheats and greedy people that have swarmed the industry. Its a very "me" driven culture anymore.
