I just now put in app with Premier Distribution in town. These guys only handle beer deliveries in different parts of NM. Like the earlier posts mentioned, it's not really a job to get rich off of, but physical labor aside and such, the hours seem more stable and less crazy than anything the milk hauling or any other hauling could offer. After tooling around with some of the LTL and P/D postings that would have me uprooting and heading to another state, the thought of just getting on with these guys locally and then potentially transferring to a mid-sized, somewhat off the radar city like Albuquerque is becoming more appealing.

Mike2633 said: ↑It's an all day marathon delivering beer just remember that. It's a lot of stops every day and a lot of the stops are right on top of each other one right after the other. You really do not drive the truck very far. You can have 3-4 stops right on the same corner. Heck I used to have 3-4 stops out in Cleveland's Treemont Neighborhood where I never moved the truck at all.Click to expand...Mike2633 Thanks this.

i've done both sideloader and "conventional" beverage delivery. i think i would prefer sideloader if i had to choose, but i wouldn't do beverage unless it paid $2000 per week minimum working under 45 hours a week AND all daytime AND weekends off.
Republic National around here, i think the guys only work monday thru thursday and definitely get at least $1500 gross and mostly daytime hours.
But the problem is not beverage in and of itself----it's the customers. Let's make it easy for the delivery people---if you can't get any deliveries, you can't make money. Most customers don't know how to do business.Mike2633 Thanks this. -
Does anybody know if down in NC beer distributors pay good money?
