    Schneider veteran here.

Foodliner would probably be a better tanker starter gig for you than Schneider.

    Closer to Saginaw, MI....as well.

Check out Foodliner's locations on this page....for Michigan:

    Foodliner -- Locations

According to the info that's here...Foodliner accepts new CDL grads (but may not temporarily, due to market conditions):

Foodliner -- Food-grade tanker training and requirements

Suggestion: If this looks appealing to you (as opposed to what you've read about Schneider)......be sure and contact Foodliner--and find out what tech schools/community colleges near you that they like to work for new CDL recruits.

May I ask what kind of company you quit? Trucking is not a one size fits all, and you can easily find yourself in a situation you never bargained for. OTR, local, regional, physical labor, like flatbed, are you married, do you have a family, can you relocate? All these need to be addressed before even considering a job in trucking. Many leave their current jobs as a desperation attempt, and figure, aw heck, I can drive, with lofty visions of making $100grand,,as told. Doesn't work that way, new grads get the bottom of the barrel in loads, and maybe make half that,,for a while. You ready for that? Many times, the driving is the least of it. In a site like this, you can ask 10 people what to do, and get 30 answers. Chinatown is the best with recommendations, all good companies, however,, it just shows, how badly we really need drivers and can be overwhelming. Not to be the sites wet blanket, but the fact is, 50% of new drivers quit in the 1st 6 months, and 25% of the remaining quit within a year, so really, only 25% stay with it. The good news, you came to the right place. I'd have killed for a site like this 30 years ago. Keep us posted, eh?

@Ridgeline pays his drivers on 1099. That might not be the best way for a brand new driver to go.
