I emptied by ATL today about 1pm. Area was dead. Ended up dh to just past tupelo.

Funny how the better I do and the more I've got in the bank, the more I feel comfortable deadheading out and not just sitting there with my thumb up my rear waiting for nothing. It was so bad, my truck is still posted and only had 1 call, and that was a load going to FL. I did put on the comments no FL no TX. Probably why no calls.

Say no to cheap freight, especially now. Let's keep this ascent at a healthy, robust pace.

I'd go right up to Tulsa or better yet Joplin. Turnpike costs $33 I think.

It’s $37 now. I’ll see what the load board is going to look like in the morning.

Are you serious??? If you go thru OOIDA it takes 40 days start to MC. You are not getting a plate without an MC#. Period.

Please please do some research, do you have a trailer? Can you even get insurance?

So you read my blog here, got all excited by some of these numbers I'm talking about, and want to go barge right in trippin over your feet.

There's plenty of info on here that should be telling you that you're gonna have a tough time getting loaded with a new authority. Also insurance is gonna be so expensive, if you can even get it, that you're gonna have an even tougher time. And the fact that you can't take the time to read through the years' worth of info on here to find what you need, and have to go begging on someone else's thread for it, tells me that you probably don't have the brains to make it work right. Have you even ever booked a load with a broker? Even called on one? Do you have any idea what you should get and from where?

What you need to do is forget the whole authority thing. You're stupid if you do that. No matter what some people who run certain Facebook groups say. Don't go out and get your own authority and ruin your finances. Go lease on to someone first and slowly work your way up into more responsibility.

That $250,000 I'm talking about possibly grossing this year, after all is said and done, I'll get to keep about $70,000 after all expenses and taxes. That comes out to like 56 cents per mile. Good luck whatever you do.

I ain't doing this for the money, I'm doing it because I really didn't have anything else better to do in life. Quite honestly.

Now now Boy Wonder. I agree lease to someone first. But really you are picking your own loads etc. you have made it. Few mis steps but you got it now. I have my own authority now for 60 days Insurance no issues. Sure there are people that won't work with you because new. I am home in Denver 3 weekends a month. 21 k to the truck per month. I do factor thru Loves. I don't work it too hard.
