Yup overweight, take back to shipper and send to your boss and also show it to shipper. And broker if you're in contact with them.
Not your battle to fight. Let them sort it out. Just do your job legally.

The company doesn’t know just yet that I’m not running with it. They are going to be VERY mad!!! -
My understanding is that weight tickets do NOT go against the driver only the company. However, what ever else they find while they have you in the coop will go against you and all the work and down time of fixing it once cought.

I haven't had an overwieght ticket in a long time, not sure if it has changed but in 2010 I messed up with a jigsaw puzzle load and was 1800 lbs over on my drives.
140 dollar lesson in paying attention and not rushing.
No points to me, does not effect the company at all. CSA did not change this as far as I know.
Bottom line, do what you feel comfortable with, I wouldn't lose my job over 700 lbs -
