Wasn't aware they made a 2005 cascadia? On a serious note I don't realize he was taking 8 weeks off?

The driver gets screwed bad enough on a 3 stop reefer
    Load waiting at docks.
You wouldn't be able to find somebody dumb
Enough to do a 20 stop LTL reefer load.

And if more people would hold out the 3 dollar a mile loads would be more readily available. But that's a different thread.

With 2500 payment and 100 k miles a year (piece of cake ) you can realistically end up with 60k-75 k in your wallet.

Some people just read into things what they want to.

He had said he would be out for 8 weeks straight before taking a few days off for his table tennis tournament, not that he was taking 8 weeks off.

I don't want to say platitudes here but it is pity that equipment worth 200 k in total sometimes (let's say truck and reefer) gets paid equally as the set worth 20 k.

First of all, where in the world did you come up with the idea @BoyWander is going to take eight weeks off to play ping pong!!?? That was never mentioned by him. If I read correctly he is taking a long weekend to play in a tournament. I certainly think that's acceptable and a good idea to take time off every now and then to keep your motivational batteries charged.

Second, I don't know how you came up with the idea of him rejecting 98% of available loads, but that IMHO is a good thing. Are you saying he should take any old load at any old price and run Willy Nilly just so he can keep his wheels turning? Really?

spyder7723, BoyWander and mladen86 Thank this.

In that case, I stand corrected.

However, we still have a guy here who jumped too far, too soon, and too deep.
