    I never leave load locks or straps on back of the trailer unless it's to dangerous to take them off. I've had people say they weren't on there or those aren't yours. Funny when you show them your name engraved on them.

    Couple months ago I had a forklift driver drive over 2 of my load locks. When I asked him about it after getting unloaded his reply was they were like that. Lol

    Too funny, I was also thinking of trying Memphis to MI for Friday. Delivering in Greenville tomorrow, we'll see what happens. Mi is dead right now IMG_20170329_105813.jpg

    Lol...This load that someone called on me earlier today, 96 loaded miles, got all upset when I told the guy I needed $800. Said max was $400. I just saw it on the board for $750. Wonder if they moved it? Same with that load to Dothan. Ended up listing it for the same $900 that I offered to do it when they called at 1pm but said he didn't have that much in it. Idiots.

    Just give me my rate and have some peace of mind that it will get there. I haven't been late once this year. Don't sit there and wait until you're sweating bullets because you can't find a truck. Don't have enough in it? Tell your customer you need more. Because I'm telling you what, the party is just getting started.

    I enjoy quoting all these people rates that they think is outrageous. If I don't want the load, instead of saying no thanks, I'll just tell them an absurd amount. I like to make them squirm.

    Unless they're polite like this fella that called with a load to MA told him no thanks.....Just in case he said yes...Lol...

    I got $830 on 220 loaded 52 empty today. Not entirely happy with it, but it will have to work. I got lucky though. It was starting to get late in the afternoon and I needed to book. They had someone fall off and were willing to take a loss. But I wont be in a particularly booming area...Central KY.

    Still think I'll take a cheap load to Memphis probably $650 on 450 miles and then see if I can get lucky and score $2/mi close to home.

    I'm at $3600 gross on 1630 all miles this week. Not sure if I'll get to $6000 gross which is my weekly goal but we'll see. Trying to make it work. Might end up being a mediocre paycheck but I'm not taking a big long load over the weekend to go home. And remember my expenses are high.

    We got to get you away from that dry van. Those rates you are quoting brokers to get them to squirm is just normal every day rates if you had a different trailer.

    At the very least a refer unit. But flatbed is about to go boom. The signs are there. Construction is going to be at pre 911 by this time next year. Could be wrong. But I would put money on it, and I am, shortly.

    It already has gone boom. I'm getting rates up 50% compared to what i was getting. Sure some of that is because it's the end of the quarter, but there is definately a lot more loads available than there has been in at least a year, more likely two years.

    I made it home 2.5 hours ago. Sat down with dad and told him some of my adventures. It feels good to be home. 8 weeks...wow.

    I had a week that started out really, really good. It didn't end that well, though. It was a week that could have been but kinda fizzled out.

    But I'm home. I'll recap the last 2 months sometime this week. But for now I'm going to relax.

    @Captain Dave
    Table tennis tournament is next weekend...got some practice scheduled. Going over to my buddy's barn to practice tomorrow night probably have a beer. Club Tuesday and Thursday, then Saginaw for the state tournament Saturday and Sunday. So excited.
