Still a great read, regardless of time between updates. Real perspective of the work and dedication required to stay afloat. Chin up and keep hammering.

If you get your own authority you'll be fine. Many Brokers will use you like Trinity, CH- Robinson, TQL. I pull for all three and it's been fantastic. The per mile so in 1 year has been $2.13 per mile hauling reefer.

    Currently in Mortons Gap KY.

Have to go to Holden, WV.

Going to be interesting. Which perilous route should I take?
Thinking Mountain Parkway to US 23 south to US 119 north.

Why did I take this load? Why?

I know it's a dead horse, but if you pulled a flat I know a good customer in Kentucky that pays well. I use them for backhauls whenever I get a load to PA or WV, sometimes stringing a load of sticks from Amish country or a load of steel.

Something I also posted on my FB a bit ago.

I had a weird dream last night, there were some kind of alien creatures that looked like pancake jellyfish without tentacles and they'd hop around then fly at your face, attaching themselves around your head and would melt your face off. I woke up not remembering where I was and felt uncomfortable, vulnerable, wishing I was able to keep a handgun with me for protection, but I can't because states have different laws about permits and open carry/concealed carry, regardless of what the 2nd amendment says. I'm in a different place every day and sometimes feel a little vulnerable. It would be nice to be allowed to have some protection from the vast unknowns, from some of the situations I could find myself in while just trying to make it out here, but I suppose the ruling elite knows what's best for me, right? But that don't help me if I'm already dead. But then I'd just be another statistic used to justify more of the same laws.

I remember before it was as nice as it is now, watching a portable parking lot take both lanes coming up hill and around the curve. 119 use to be interesting lol. Stay safe out there.

You are pulling that way way to cheap. I live in Denver and run to California and back all the time. Now I do produce but always average over 3.00 per mile.

That's real good. As I mentioned my average is a whole year after fixed and variable expenses. Like your produce at $3.00 per mile after expenses your below by 68%. My actual for example is a contract customers for strawberry loads is over $4.91 per mile to phili market. But that my own with my sales guy thatvworls for me to obtain yearly contracts with no broker. But keep it up doing well.
