yup definitely order you some def sensors system parts, they can delete it if goes bad but yeah them the hardest parts to get right now
-
If you’re talking about the def level sensor that was an issue a few months ago, I was told that it’s no longer all in the same sensor. I haven’t confirmed it yet though. But the ones that were failing measured the tank level, def quality, and def temp. When it failed it went to empty and that’s what caused the trucks to derate.

Man let me tell you guys. these new eaton ultrashift transmission shift like butter. Backing is the best part on these no jerks anymore like the old amts . These cummins 2450 565hp engines are pretty efficent too i am getting 6 mpg on a heavy loaded trailer and about 9 to 10 on an empty dry van and around 12 mpg bobtail driving average 68-70 mph. Ride is really comfortable . I dont feel tired after driving 8 hrs straight anymore. Backing i am getting used to . Fell like a rookie again backing with stacks blocking the view and set forward axle but still manageable. Yeh now i see why ex hood drivers dont go back to aero trucks.

If I am going down a mountain on full jake at 2000RPM I know my transmission isn't grabbing the next gear, even if I hit the throttle by accident.
If I burn out my clutch, I am out $2000 not $8000.
If the auto computer shorts out, Paccar has to order a new one and have it programed costing thousands, and taking weeks.
If you are having air pressure issues, you are not limping into a dealership, you're getting towed.
If one day it decides to not work because its in protect mode, its a tow and a dealer visit.
KISS Keep it simple stupid means you have a manual transmission to remove one mega problem from your life.
Sure the engine can screw up like every other one, but the transmission can't. -
Six months isn't long by today's standards?

Elroythekid, kay_ray and Midwest Trucker Thank this.
