Well, I finally got to start school this week. I'm going the to Fort Scott Community College Kansas City KS trucking school. So far this week I haven't learned hardly anything. We took a drug test and got a physical, Watched a bunch of videos and learned a little bit about log books. They have had us out in the lot in the trucks but they won't let us do anything except pull foward and back straight. I mastered this manuver on my first try along with several other students, but since some of the other students can't get it right we all have to wait for them to learn it before we can move on to anything else. The class is 6 weeks long so hopefully we will be able to do a little more driving next week. One big hold up we had is only half of the students showed up with a CDL permit. (Myself included) They had to let the others go test and it took a couple of them a few tries to pass the test. The instructor didn't want to cover very much material until everyone was back in class. I recomend for anyone that is getting ready to go to school to get their permit before they go unless the school says otherwise. If you don't you are just going to hold the rest of the class back.
I will give another update next week and let everyone know how it's going.
Finally in school
