Yeah but OT after 40 not 8hr. Plus they may say we try to keep it under 60 but when its time to work its time to work.

The only thing I’d add is depending on the terminal, prax can micromanage you to death. I picked up in Toledo at a univar terminal and they had 5 former prax guys and everyone said the same thing. Every week management acted like they were looking for reasons to fire guys. Even after saying that, if the terminal is good prax will be a better job. Compressed gas will be the cleanest work you ever do.
In Chicago gas pay rates are horrible since there’s a lot of competition. Sounds like it might be different in CA.

All I can do is try my best to do things their way and hope that they have patience for someone new to the industry

Hopefully the praxx guys up north are actually praxx employees and not genox drivers who are contracted to praxx. That's how it is in socal. The top two down here are air products and air gas/liquide.

As far as weather goes up here in the great white north we are never required to run in any conditions we deem unsafe.
You are the captain and if they have to put you up at a motel it is absolutely not a problem.

have you ever had to “deem the conditions unsafe “ and got a room?
Just trying to get a feel for how dispatch is regarding snow and such

    Yes I have.
We have guys who mark off due to weather nearly every storm.
We abort due to unsafe conditions at customers sites and shut down due to weather when conditions warrant.
You wreck and the last thing they will say before you lose your job is "why were you out there?"
The rig and contents are nearly half a million dollars.
Ain't no trip or customer worth losing your job or your life over.
I've been thru 45 winters and feel pretty confident in my abilities but don't think twice about shutting down.
Dispatch has no say in the matter.
