Well I took the Galaxy out (for sale) and put in the Ranger 6300. I know on the Galaxy the frequency was 27.185. But on the Ranger I get 27.1848. Is this ok? Also I have a 2 foot antenna on the roof. Would I be better if I go with the Wilson little willy? (its a 3 foot whip) Thanks to the guys that helped me in the past. :biggrin_25514:

I know if you don't use a good ant. for that ranger 6300 you can burn the out diodes in it. If it is a 6300f 25 you can consider a "lil willie" but if it is a 6300f 150 you would need at least a wilson 2000 wether it is permanent mount or magnet mount. I think you are better to get a wilson 2000 or 5000 right off the bat. Power rating for ant. means a lot especially in a 150 watt radio such as a 6300f 150. I run a magnum s-9 with a 2500 watt linear and use a permanent mount wilson 5000. It works very well. If I can hear you I can definitely talk back.
