    You're about to start a business, and are asking someone to finance that business from the beginning. They want to make sure you're a decent risk. Once you become self employed, you will be showing your financials almost every time you want to buy something big, besides maybe a personal vehicle. i didn't show anything to buy my $40k Pathfinder in December. I'm buying a house as we speak, and they are requiring 2 years business and personal taxes, profit an loss statement, etc. When buying a house in FL, they even check to make sure the tax returns you submit to them are the ones you submitted to the IRS.

    Been that way for over 10 years to show two years of financials when attempting.g to get business or govt funds. That I am aware of.
