I must be searching wrong. But how do I find out what companies have a terminal close to me (I am in Modesto, CA). IE Fontana is a bit far, as I am looking for ease when hometime comes up. In my head it would seem easier if the company has a terminal close to me. But so far, I can't seem to fins a way to get a list of em.....any wanna let me know how I can find a list like that?

Most of the Major Companies work out of Stockton(French Camp, Lathrop). there is a large Terminal near the 120, 99 interchange, cant miss it.

You can try to download "TRUCKING COMPANIES" in your area off the net. But whatever you do, do not ask for "TRUCKING JOBS". You might have to weed through the list but it may be a start. If not they all have to buy fuel so find a truck stop that the locals might use. Good luck and let us know how it's going.

Anything right now, as I am just out of truck school. Really though low boy/heavy/oversize gets me exited. But for now, I'll do whatever I can get, & will do it with a smile.

Reeve seems to be the only game in town for the oversize stuff, but they are slow, & not really hiring right now.

Sward Trucking in Oakdale is a flat bed co. Might be a good place to start. They hire all the time

Quick update, Sward requires 1 yr, allong with Cherokee. Northern is not hiring untill "spring" is what they told me when I handed them my app. Waiting on a reply from Knight & System (TWT). Hendrickson Online Ap didn't work...so I need to call.

For those searching in the future, these companies are also in the stockton, modesto, turlock, merced...ish areas....
FFE, JB Hunt, Swift (yeah I know), Gordon (GTI), Gardener, Waltkins & Sheppard, Ryder, Ruan, Mountain Valley Express, Panella, Antonini, Matheson Fast Freight, Terrill, Try-us trucking, Dats Truckin, W.H. Breshears (tanker), Interstate (1 yr minimum though)......eh, thats all I can remember right now.

I have applied for all of em...so lets see what happend. I do have a red light violation, & 2 not at fault accidents Since 2007...keeping my fingers crossed.

Didn't know Try-us was still out there. Haven't seen one of there trucks in a year. It does remind me of Trius trucking, I believe they're out of Fresno, they run dark green Centuries. Hey, sounds like your giving it your best shot, looking for work. Good luck.
