Why would it not be the 150 hours course? Is this company your getting trained with licensed? Most companies require it to be 120 hours of training. Not sure what the state of of New York requires. I am sorta in the same position as you, I let my cdl's go awhile ago and no company will touch me without recent OTR exp. So I bit the bullet and am attending a CDL Class A school. but it is a licensed school and recruiters from all kinds of trucking companies come here to visit and talk with the new drivers and try and get you signed up for their company. I would ask your trainers if they have any recruiters coming to thier school. If not I would think about changing schools or try and find a company willing to train you at their facilities. Good Luck Driver!

I'm going threw this BS two. Got my cdl on my own but can't get behind the weel for the life of me. Got clean and clear records and years of straight truck experience but thats not pulling a 53 footer. I'm turned off the idea of crst and cr england trash. Been to both places. I love driving and delivering but them companies will make you think twice about driving at all. I cant even find someone to team with to get on this ovr class B straight truck deal I got pre-hired on with fedex/expidited services(no experience needed).

Conway in chi town area is running a new cdl grad hiring spree. You have to work on the dock while you attend thier classes after or before you work schedule. Something like that anyway.
