The schools today seem only able to pump out a new "litter" of pups every 8 weeks or so.
To be honest; I went to a Trucking School in 1980, not that I needed to, but that it wa a CETA Funded School (Anyone remember CETA?)
The school was 10 weeks of classroom BEFORE even getting in a truck (watching just about every GORE film produced by the State of Ohio) followed by 22 weeks of "Hands-On" and then followed by another 4 weeks of classroom. I learned a lot in this school, but truthfully, it didn't prepare me for the long hours and hard work ahead.
I read a story in the Truckers News (http://www.thetrucker.com/News/Stor...mpanymeetsneedsfortruckerswithownacademy.aspx)
that A. Duie Pyle offers a FREE Trucking school: -
