Finding Loads for 40 ft flatbed out of the Dallas Fort Worth area?

    LOL. Hotshots make it because they are generally hauling something that needs to get there right now, oilfield is where most work, but airlines, etc and get rates better than truck load rates, and the load may very well be thrown in the passenger seat.

    Surprisingly I made it for 5 years and closed down at the beginning of this year when it slowed down too much for me and tired of the BS.But everything you mentioned is true.A lot of people get into it because it’s just driving a pickup truck and are intimidated by big rigs.I should have switched to a class 8.

    Not trying to be negative, but a 1 truck operation and in the hotshot business at that has absolutely nothing to offer a direct customer unless he lives next door to them and is always available when they call, otherwise that's one of the worse pieces of advice I could think of.
