The distance from front of the trailer is four feet not five?

Oh goodie. 41 foot rule here in PA and in Maryland(where I'm going tomorrow). Luckily it's a bunch of plastic. Spoons, bowls, plates etc. Cheap throw away stuff so I imagine it'll be around 20k maximum. I'm just trying to figure out the how to adjust tandems to keep them from going over 41 feet and still not break the 34/34 rule if the trailer is loaded heavy and all the way to the back. Don't need anymore tickets. I'm a po' boy lol.

Distance is 36 inches if I recall from front of the trailer to the kingpin. Supposedly there's a 48" trailer out there but they're supposed to be rare.

3 foot is typical however on the west coast and other specialty fleets you will find some 4 foot configurations to minimize overall length and reduce boc turbulence.

This is why you should either measure from the kp back, or measure kp depth to verify what you're dealing with and do basic math to measure from rear.

so instead of 10 feet to get to 40 feet, it's 9.
