Perhaps look for a company that has a terminal in a part of the country that interests you. Virtually every mega has a terminal in Southern California. Swift, Werner, and Knight all have centers in central Florida. You can always ask to transfer there later on.

Every winter the first trucks I see flipped over in the ditch are the FedEx, UPS, Old Dominion, and Yellow trucks pulling those wiggle wagons. I was once behind a truck pulling doubles in the ice and man those two trailers were wiggling all over the place.

So the first company you see is the one who has 50,000 trailers.

And in that big Wyoming crash video, it was an R&L truck with a set of wiggle wagons that clearly stopped safely. Either you can drive or you can't. Doesn't matter what kind of trailer you pull.

Then the OD set stops safely . Yes Fed Ex balls up two or three sets in that one crash, but look how many trucks they have on the road.

Fear Mongering. I wonder why people do it. Yes, you actually do have to be able to drive to run wiggle wagons, but the same goes for tankers, car haulers and heavy haulers.

The car hauler in that video ... If I remember correct, ended up with a car in his sleeper.

Old Dominion is a big company with MANY different driving jobs. OTR, Linehaul/shuttle, Pickup & Delivery (city). I've worked for companies OD bought and companies similar to OD. The easier/better driving jobs like Linehaul/shuttle don't hire newbies & rookies they promote from within by seniority. You start with something like OTR or Dedicated and one day move to something better (better pay, home more often).

OD didn't allow pets when I briefly worked for them.
