Fire kills husband and sons of missing woman

Think a more apt title would be suicidal husband kills sons in explosion.

 

I saw this last night. So sad! What will be even worse is if it turns out he had nothing to do with his wife's disappearence or his Dad's child porn stuff. All would have died in vain.

 

It is sad that this has happened bt what is worse yet that it is beginning to be too common.

 

I've been following this story closely since his wife disappeared in '09. Believe me when I say that this is no surprise at all. In my opinion, you can hang the murder of the two children on the police departments and the investigators. All they've done for 2+ years is half-### the investigation and drag their feet. They know where she's at (general location), they know Josh killed her, they know his father at the very least, knows about where she is, too. For crying out loud, even the public information is absolutely damning - takes 2 very young boys for an overnight smores party in the middle of a snow storm; comes home and claims wife is missing; there's a big wet spot on the floor with fans blowing on it when the police investigate the house; oldest boy even comes out and says that "mommy was in the trunk."

And yet for nearly 2 years, Josh had custody of his kids. When a judge FINALLY agreed to put the two kids in the custody of their mom's parents, he signed their death warrants, by allowing visitation in ANY shape or form.

There are a lot of people that go missing every day, week, month, and year. Some turn out OK. Others, like this one, COULD have and SHOULD have been wrapped up a long time ago. Susan is long gone, but those two boys should not be.

Josh Powell should rot in hell for what he's done and I hope there's a big ol' dose of karma coming to those that did NOT do their jobs, which would have prevented the murder of those two boys. At least those boys are with their mom again.
