Don't they usually also have signs posted that there is no restroom available for use by truckdrivers?

The problem with your thinking is, let's say just for the moment that those "CB RAMBOS" don't have guns, but talk trash anyway. There is nothing stopping them from getting out of their trucks and "settling" their differences up close or personal.
Your post it proof that "certain folks" who shouldn't have the right to determine for anyone else, the right to possess a gun; think that having a gun would influence truck-stop gun play.
That is the same liberal mindset that says GUNS CAUSE CRIME.
If that were true, then pencils cause errors, cars cause accidents and spoons cause obesity.

You also seem to imply that the incidence of criminal element in trucking is more prevalent than in regular American life.
Have you been a truck driver long?

Well spoken; sounds just like anyone of the gun-grabbing anti-Constitution members of the CPUSA.

i ain't some commie...i do not believe in carrying guns on trucks. its that simple....this BS thread is all the rhetoric i have seen on trucking boards for years and years now, a bunch of CB Rambos trying to prove something about being an american and the right to bear arms....

    No sir.
This thread is FACT (as opposed to BS) and was posted to do just as I said......

Just trying to educate in the truth rather than only having "road tales" and "driver stories" to go on.

Yes, it is fact to a point.

You have the right to carry a firearm in the truck. No one argues the point. If you own the truck, the right is yours. If you work for someone, then they have the right to regulate whether you have the weapon or not.

If you enter onto property to get a load or deliver, they have the right to regulate that a firearm does not enter their property. You have to be mature enough to realize this.

Carry if you want. Most of the ones that speak and carry can scare someone because of their lack of judgement and lack of mental capacity.

But keep in mind, if your company has a rule against it, do you really wish to risk your job.

    It is your decision.

Personally, I never have lost a wink of sleep or had any fear because I did not have a weapon on the truck.

Let the issue of the firearm die.

It has been beat to death by both sides. Enough is enough.

Roadmedic has summed it up very well, I'm closing the thread on his helpful note. If others want additional information about carrying in a commercial vehicle, there is a giant thread in the Regulations forum.

Mike', Rerun8963, jlipps and 3 others Thank this.
