NOW THIS HAS BEEN HASHED OVER FOR YEARS and hear is somthing to think about .
the federal law that everyone talks about was repealed in 1968 leaving enforment of gun laws up to individual states.
now as far as carryting a gun in a truck most southern and western states its not a problem BUT when you get on the east coast dont get caught your going to have a serious problem in pertricular NEW YORK course it dosent bother me i havent been ther in 40 yrs and i aint going back.
now if you have a concealed weapons permit that is another story most western states will honor it BUT it is upto the individual state but it only takes a phone call to be sure .
i carry regardless its my life and i choose to protect it and whats mine but that is just me .
its been my experience that most law enforcment wont bother to ask as long as your not showing your but witrh it and make no mistake about it if your being wreckless with a fire arm wheather you have a permit or not its jail time.
be carefull and good luck.----southernpride -

I started this very same subject on THIS group and it's up to 100 pages now. There's some real good answers there and there's some idiotic ones too. Save some time and review the good ones. You can tell who knows because it shows that they've done thier homework.
