Let me guess, you went in with a hair less than 3/4 tank and they turned you around. Nobodies fault but yours. It's simple, everyone makes rules and we follow them.

The customer is always right! It takes alot for one to call on you. Good luck in your new job. Remember you get hot there, you can get fired there too. Family comes first!

Thats what I'm thinking.. got fired like yesterday, went through all the various channels for assistance including school, and now has a new career driving a van. All since like yesterday? I have been at Marten for going on 16 years now and I've got to tell you anybody thats been here at this company for more then the last 5 years will tell you this company used to be really worth working for. those of you newer then the last 2 years don't even know how bad your getting screwed so you see nothing wrong with it so it would be expected for your ardent defense of the place. Since Randy decided to give over his company to the Knight Transport transplants this company has just completly forgotton about thier drivers and the people who got them there. all the new investments in Apu's, q-coms,trks...etc have got nothing to do with driver comfort as they claim as atestted to by the constent threat of termination that comes at the end of every fleet mesg about anything they have to say about anything. I understand that the folks out here that have not worked in awhile and are broke are just glad to have a paycheck. ..thats exactly what they are counting on...b/c as soon as you have been here with this company for as long as I have and start to learn and know to much by thier standards, then you get disposed of.
Marten used to be the best company in the country to work for and actually gave a #### about thier employees...drivers,office,shop..etc... now you question anything your done. One more thing what the ##*? is up with not being able to get a driver home? I'm sure some tuff ### is gonna say thats trking and just deal with it..wait untill it consistly happens to you then come back and tell me how you feel. But really they expect us to mac 32 a disp with seconds of getting the ld and garauntee ontime del... yet they require a 2 week notice and then they put a 4 day lead time on that and they still can't get us home.......can we say rail dept??...mmmm maybe the western regional fleet?....mmm I've never, not once had a problem getting home in 15 years. Yet since the new management came in and they did away with the home time garauntee and the sudden pick up in buisness of these 2 extremly obsolete entities of the company one starts to wonder. especially sitting on the east coast for days at a time. Another Question to ponder...Why is it we used to have lds and I do mean lds of our own account(direct accnts) yet we are doing..I'm gonna guess at close to 80% brokered frieght? ....Is that the new way buisness is done these days...Look I'm just saying this company used to be the best in the industry and I would stand behind that statement all day.... now its just turned into your basic start up company...come here get ur required experience and move on..your basic start up company. sorry for the response being soooo long... but i really could go on for days on this company....
