Not sure if this is the right place to post this. If I need to move it, please let me know. So on Friday I was let go from my current job for couple of reasons. The biggest one they said was that I was randomly stopped one too any times at the weigh station I passed every day. I'm pretty sure this qualifies as a wrongful termination, but I'm not sure what I can do about it. Any advice? In the meantime I've been pounding the pavement pretty hard and may have found two or three other jobs that are available. So I should be good on that. But I still want to do something about being fired.

    Thanks

You said a couple of reasons. Now tell the rest of the story.

So on Friday I was let go from my current job for couple of reasons. What are the other reasons besides the weigh scale ?

They said they received some complaints from the two places I visited each night. The pick up and the drop off. I never heard a word out of either one myself, and if they were complaining, then it was NEVER discussed with me during my time there. When I was fired, they actually said the main reason was how many times I had been stopped at the weigh station. They had just gone through and audit by the DOT who were lenient with the company and they didn't want to deal with the possibility of another one. Please feel free to ask any other questions. I don't have anything to hide.

What were the citations? I know they weren't bringing you in to talk about rodeo?

Question? Since when does a company decide when a DOT officer can open a weigh station and require drivers to enter? Sounds like they were paying for protection and weren't getting their monies worth.
There has to be more to the story!

If the scale house was bringing you in a lot,it was more than likely the companies record.
Scale house cops know repeat offenders, and pull them out accordingly.
