If flatbed is something you like try Melton. Good training and they take new guys. Two weeks securement training at their Tulsa yard and then 4 or so weeks on the road with a trainer.

Melton and Maverick are great training co's for flatbed.

I'd like to know exactly the issues Cypress thought you were having. Because I have come across some very incompetent Cypress drivers over the years.

Yes that's what it seems like as well but when one of the training guys called me he said "we have to terminate you because you're not catching on." Then when I go to other carriers they just flat out reject me since I don't have much experience.

I will do that. I have to be thorough. That's a thing that I will always look at from now on. I hope when I get my report they don't have anything crazy on it.

Well the feedback from my 2nd trainer is that he was complaining about my time for load securement which was mainly throwing straps(which would have maybe .5 twist in the strap but he wanted it straight and flat all the way over the load). He would also fuss at me about paying attention to the GPS but he likes to ride with his on mute. I don't and he would turn it off all the time. Also he felt that I wasn't backing well on a spread axle trailer. He felt that I cut angles too deep and it took too many tries to get it in the hole. Also we would have miscommunication on backing signals. From what I remembered in school you're supposed to agree on hand signals first and never assume. I told him this but he didn't wanna hear that. Also I got tired after doing one load. We were going to from frostproof to The savannah,GA area. I was able to secure the load and drive 5 hours but I had to stop in Jacksonville. He loved to get up early from like 12am to 3am. This was my first try at flatbed and I've never done it before.

Stay in touch with the May Trucking recruiter. Do what the recruiter says and maybe it won't be months.

So from what I've got from that is you went through two trainers overthere? They have a school and if you need some more backing practice they'll usually put you there and give you more practice, that sucks, some trainers can be hotheaded and companies will listen to their trainers more than the trainees.
